4 Free Pairs of GEO Circle Lenses Up For Grabs!

The lovely ladies Katie and Char from Mesmerized Eyes have been generous enough to donate FOUR PAIRS OF GEO CIRCLE LENSES from their extensive inventory. That means EACH and EVERY winner of my contest will win a pair! After the winners are announced, I'll be in touch and each winner will pick out the pair and prescription of their choice!

I don't know about yall, but I love my circle lenses. They're comfortable and fun and can really change your look. The girls from Mesmerized Eyes are so nice too! I had a bunch of quesitons because I have horrible nearsightedness and so I was really interogating them lol. They answered all my questions and I felt so confident in my choice to purchase from them. The first pair I got was the Geo Angel's in Gray. Here's some pics of them.

I like them so much, I want to try out other types too. I'm trying out the Nudy Angel's In Gray next time!

If you've already followed both blogs you're all set for the giveaway just be sure to comment the original post, if you're entering the Cake Inspired Look Contest get those looks in! Deadline is the 14th! Link to the contest below!

Behind the Scenes: Leona Spring '10 Photo Shoot

Hello babes, today I was booked as the Key makeup artist for the new Spring Collection of Leona by Lauren Leonard's new photo shoot. I hadn't heard of this line before so I checked it out and its gorgeous!

I'm super excited because 1. These photos came out looking SO GOOD! I saw them pop up on the computer as they were being taken and they look awesome. Without retouching! I'm so glad. :) 2. They're going to be published and I'm always looking for new tears! Its how you get ahead as a makeup artist.

The look today was inspired by the show Mad Men. That show has been heavily awarded for its authenticity in showing the fashion and styles of the 1960s. Most of us are more familiar with the twiggy look and cutting the crease, but the more suburban women were all about their rounded bow lips and matte colors in either peach, pink, or light red. January Jones and Christina Hendricks were inspirations for the day.

We wanted to take that style and make it more fresh and fun. She has some beautiful pieces that were hot pink, lime green, and coral for spring. We wanted to play that up with the girls. The lovely models I worked with are Whitney and Stefanie. The photographers' names were Miller and Taylor. Check out some of the behind the scenes action from today! Zoya Nail Polish Review - Stephanie

As I'm sure most of you girls did, I cashed in on Zoya's 5,000 follower giveaway. I think it was if they reached 5,000 followers on their Twitter page, that they would be giving away $18 credits, that's 3 free polishes, per order. All you had to pay was shipping. One of the colors I was dying to get was Stephanie. I'm really weird regarding color, I'll first go to something something deep and dark or really pale before I go with bright colors, Maybe its my inner emo kid or somethin, I dunno. But as soon as I saw swatches of Stephanie I had to have it.

Product: 4 out of 5!

Packaging: 5 out of 5!

Quality: 5 out of 5!

Price: $ 6.00 @ Art of Beauty

The Specs:

Tone: Cool
Finish: Cream
Color Family: Purples
Intensity: 2 (1= Very Shear to 5= Very Opaque)
Original Collection

The Good:

Zoya describes this as the palest purple pink cream. I'd agree with all that but the purple part. I think its more baby pink with a milky cream mix. Either way I love it. I know it says the sheer factor is about a 2 and that is what I was expecting, but honestly, with a good two coats, like in the pictures below, the color is great and a little opaque.

I'm super hard on my nails and so my polish is usually always smudging or chipping within a week. But what I found with Zoya is that they really stay a lot longer than a lot of the other nail polishes I use. They also have this color lock formula, that I'm sure will help make it last even more.

The Bad:

My only qualm with Zoya polishes and the only reason I gave the product a 4 out of 5, would be that in some of their formulas, like this one, they can go on a little thick and its a little hard to smooth onto your nails. Other than that I like everything about it. Some of their other formulas don't have that problem.

Overall:

I love it, it definitely makes my hand look more delicate haha. Its been on my nails exactly a week now and just starting to chip, I think that's good for me! Its a gorgeous color and I think every girl should have it :)

I'm giving away a Stephanie polish in the contest so don't miss out on your chance to win.

xoxo,

Jaimie

All About You, By Me - Custom Banners Made With Love

From Now Until Dec. 31st! I Also Do Light Photo Retouching.

SO i usually design my own banner and layouts and what not. I figured I better learn cause I'm SUPER anal and no one knows what I want better than myself lol. I did my own layouts and banners for both blogs. I eventually started designing banners for the shows that I watch and the couples I ship cause I'm super dorky like that. I always help my friends out with their designs or banners and they're always telling me I should start offering my designing services.

So here I am finally doing it. I'm charging $15 dollars for banners, and we can talk about designing layouts. I know some girls charge $10 or even lower, but in all honesty I think they're charging too little for something that takes time and is done exactly how you want it. In the words of the Joker, "If you're good at something never do it for free." (there's that dorkiness coming out again lol) I think I'm rather good and I take take my time and make sure I make its exactly how I or people want it to look. If you want to go to someone with a lower price by all means do it, but I assure you I'll give you my best work.

I accept payment by Paypal and turnaround is usually same day, unless I have a gig, if not 2 day maximum.

Below are some examples of my work, you can click on them to make them bigger. Blogger did wash them out a bit with the big upload, but yours will be delivered by email and can then retain its maximum pigmentation.

Thanks for all the love I've gotten so far in my new business. Don't be shy, I love doing these so email me with your requests. If you'd like to show your support for me, I'd appreciate it and you can post these on your blog in an html widget.
