FOTD: Fall Grays and Plums

Hey everyone! Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE the fall and winter. Living in Georgia, we have retarded weather and our summers are long and hot and extend all the way until October or November sometimes. Our true winter is usually December-March. Crazy I know. SO I've been dying to fall to come so I can wear all my sweaters, scarves, and boots. That being said, I can't wait to wear fall makeup as well. I put together this little step by step look for one of my favorite looks this fall. If you like it, I'll do more detailed ones, just let me know.

The Calvary:
Makeup Forever in 128 Almond
Bo-ing Concealer
MAC MSF in Medium Plus.
MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study
MAC Eyeshadow in Dark Edge
MAC Eyeshadow in Silver Ring
Avon Ultra Luxury Liner in Black
MAC lip liner in Velvetella
MAC Mattene in Bing
Motives Cosmetics Blush in Malt.

1. Apply your foundation, concealer, and powder.

2. I usually don't fill in my eyebrows, but I wanted them a little bit darker for this look and I filled them in with Dark Edge. If you fill in your brows on the regular, do so now. I also applied Bare Study to my lid up to my brow bone lightly.

3. Next I applied Silver Ring eyeshadow to my lid and a little bit into my crease, blending it upward.

5. Line your eyes with the black pencil of your choice. I went for a pencil instead of a gel liner, because I wanted it to have that pencil look...if that makes sense to anyone lol

6. Now, my favorite part! The plum lips. First, line your lips with a plum colored lip liner. I used Velvetella by Mac. A trick I like to use when lining lips is, when doing your upper lip, define the cupids bow first. Then, line from the corners of your mouth upwards to meet your cupids bow. It stops that kinda of drooping lip effect from happening. Then apply from the middle of your bottom lip to the corners and fill in your lips with the pencil.

Next, take a lip brush and fill in your lips with the plum color of your choice.

7. Apply a matte dirty pink blush to your temples and cheekbones and your set!

Hope you all like it and try it out this fall!!

Sister Shoutout!

Hey Yall! I did my little sister's makeup (a silvery bronzed smokey eye) today for two of her new video's on Youtube today and she gave me a shout out! I hope you can see the makeup. She's pretty new to twitter and blogger, but she's really looking to meet people and have as much fun on these sites as I do. I told her she just has to get on out there!

She's an working actress and singer and she just starred in a hit play in Atlanta entitled The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife. We have pretty much the same humor so if you love me you'll prolly like her too haha. People say she looks like me but I don't see it lol

You can check out her blog right here: CaitiSings.Blogspot.com
And her twitter here: @CaitiSings

Check out the video!

Love Yall!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes!! I had a nice day yesterday and I appreciate all the comments, messages, and texts. Just wanted to shoot a quick post about the status of the contest. You guys have sent in some AMAZING entries! I'm seriously stoked to show everyone. Here's the catch though, a few girls have asked if I could extend the deadline for a few days due to various reasons and I have decided to go ahead and do that.

The new deadline for the contest look entries is:
Saturday, September 19th!!

After that, thats it! haha. The giveaway continues on till the end of the month though, so theres still time to participate in that. Thanks so much for the effort you girl have put in thus far, it means a lot!

Hav e a great day!

New Twilight New Moon Trailer: So Good, I'm Posting It Twice.

*FAN GIRL SCREAMS*

And Twilight is not even my favorite book series.
But I am a fan of that Jacob. Mm Mm Mm.
See I'd Totally Go To Jail for Taylor Lautner.

But yall. This trailer is off the chain. The boys look hot, the action is packed, and Kristen looks healthier like she went to rehab for the drugs for a quick minute. Acting is still sub par though. And hey Dakota Fanning! My sister was like, "I wonder how Kristen felt being in movie with Dakota Fanning?" I said, "Honored".

It actually got me excited about seeing the movie all over again. LOOK AT IT. And my man Jacob of course. He can swing into my bedroom anytime.
When does he turn 18??
I was like *looks all seductive and blushing*"Heyyyyy wolf pack..."

I'm pretty sure I'll be one of the first ones to have the movie file once its released online, so subscribe of follow if you're interested in that in the future.

(I posted this on here as well, the video is bigger there)

Beauty Rêverie: Do You Use Powder After A Shower?

As a baby, my sister and I were always powdered all over after baths. Somehow along the way I kinda forwent that during my my after-shower routine and I want to get back into it. My mother on the other hand is a powder wearer to this day. I still see it peaking over the top of her night gown on her chest an shoulders.

After doing a bit of researching here are some reasons and uses that people find for using body powder:

  • On their manly/womanly bits or underwear to help keep them cool and dry all day (only non-talc powders)
  • On their feet and inside socks to help with moisture
  • Under arms to keep dry and combat odor
  • Helps comfort when in high temperatures and summer months
  • Helps clothes glide on smoother
  • For an all around smooth and luxurious feeling

What do you guys think? My question today is: Do you use powder after a shower or just body creams? Scented or Unscented? I want to know! :)

Zoya Nail Polish Review - Casey

Okay so back in the day, I was an avid OC watcher. It was my favorite show and I loveddddd me some Seth Cohen! My fave seasons where the first 2, after that it kinda went downhill. But ever since Marissa was going through her Volchek (mmm) dark and moody phase, I've been searching for the perfect dark color.

It was this unspecified dark and sexy color, not exactly black, there was a hint of color, but what I couldn't tell. All I knew was that I wanted my nails to have that perfect effect. Fast forward like 3 years later, and my once favorite show is off the air, but I haven't stopped searching for that perfect color. I knew as soon as I saw swatches of Zoya's Casey that it was a wrap!

Product: 5 out of 5!

Packaging: 5 out of 5!

Quality: 5 out of 5!

Price: $ 6.00 @ Art of Beauty

The Specs:

Tone: Cool
Finish: Cream
Color Family: Purples
Intensity: 5 (1= Very Shear to 5= Very Opaque)
Original Collection

The Good:

I LOVE THIS COLOR. Its so sexy!! I love the way it makes my hands look. They're just hot! I actually went to get my nails done at the salon with this color yesterday and I got stopped by this nice lady inquiring about my color. I gave her the stats and told her to keep an eye out for my review. If you're reading now, hi! This color is that show stopping. I love deep dark purples and grays and this is totally fitting my mood and my new fall wardrobe lol. All you need is two coats, hit it with a sealant and you have perfectly shiny lacquered nails.

Indoors its this dark almost black color, but in the sunlight you can see its blacked plum color. I'm in love and can't stop looking at my nails.

The Bad:

The first coat can be a bit streaky so take your time.

Overall:

This is a MUST HAVE polish in my opinion, looks great on all skintones. Just do your first coat, let dry for about 3 minutes, then do your second coat. So nice I even put it on my toes!

I'm giving away a Casey polish in the contest so don't miss out on your chance to win.

xoxo,

Jaimie

The Queen B & Photoshoot

In true Just Kiss 'N Makeup fashion and as our tagline states, we're all about Classic Elegance meeting Everyday Glam. Man, if I had the wardrobe of my dreams it'd be equal parts Blair Waldorf's stylist sophistication and the chic glam of Georgina Sparks.

This is how we usually see our Leighton, all fresh faced and girlie evil. But she along with Ed Westwick are featured in the September edition of Elle magazine lookin sexy and scrumptious! The ultimate blend of Blair and Georgina style. Blorgina? Glair maybe? I like Glair haha. I've been dying to do a black lip for ages and even more so since I got my Tarred OCC lip tar. As soon as Bombchell showed me this pic I knew I had to get it done.

I did a shoot on Sunday, right after totally jacked up my leg but that's another story. The first look is inspired by Leighton's black lip, in the others we were going for the look of a Guess ad. I think we pulled it off well!
